Solid Wood Floor Installation

We believe a solid wood floor should look amazing and last many years to come, thats why we recomend all floors should be fitted by a fully trained wood floor fitter.There are two types of solid wood floor installation the first is a secret nail system, where the wood flooring gets secret nailed through the tongue to the floor.This system is more common and you tend to have less problems. The second system is when you glue the flooring to the sub floor, With this system you need to check the moisture content of the sub floor as if it is above 4% the floor could cup. To install a solid wood floor in your home you must have your sub-floor prepared. All materials should be on site a week before installation to climatize the wood.

Laminate installation

We also fit laminate flooring and we recommend that you have the higher quality laminates like Quickstep and Parador because they last a lot longer and wear better.  We do not fit cheap laminate as it does not last and will come apart and show the joins.
